What’s the difference between the causes, signs, and symptoms of an anxiety attack versus a panic attack?
Panic attacks is the technical definition. Anxiety attack is a colloquial term. But they can be thought of as describing the same thing. When they happen often, they are sometimes called panic disorders and anxiety disorders.
Anxiety is a mental health condition that can cause intense fear, and worry. It is often accompanied by physical signs such as shortness of breath, chest pain, sweating, and palpitations or a feeling of a pounding heart (people sometimes worry that they’re having a heart attack). Anxiety can take many forms and can often overall be characterized by a feeling of unease in the body or in the mind.
