Can anxiety cause dizziness, nausea, or blurred vision?
Anxiety can certainly cause symptoms of dizziness and nausea. Other common side effects include difficulty catching one’s breath breath, blurred vision, and often a feeling of lightheadedness.
Some of these symptoms are caused by changes in breathing patterns, which impact the sympathetic nervous system and its effect on heart rate and rhythm. Blurred vision, even if it is not persistent, may have a neurologic or ocular basis and should always be mentioned to a doctor and evaluated.
